New Space companies join Copernicus
🛰️ Nine New Space satellite data suppliers have become "Contributing Missions" to the Copernicus programme, reflecting the growing significance of commercial companies in fostering a dynamic and innovative space industry.
🛰️ By incorporating these nine New Space satellite data suppliers as "Contributing Missions," the Copernicus programme expands its long-term datasets for monitoring critical issues such as declining polar ice, rising sea levels, drought, and other significant challenges.
🛰️ The companies in question are:
1️⃣ Aerospacelab (Belgium)
2️⃣ Prométhée (France)
3️⃣ EnduroSat (Bulgaria)
4️⃣ Kuva Space Oy (Finland)
5️⃣ Constellr (Germany)
6️⃣ OroraTech (Germany)
7️⃣ Aistech (Spain)
8️⃣ Satlantis (Spain)
9️⃣ Absolut Sensing (France)
🛰️ Once these companies successfully launch their missions into orbit, their data will enhance the existing information from the Sentinel missions by offering valuable insights into the evolving conditions of land, oceans, and the atmosphere.

Sentinel Hub EO Browser Updates
👩🏾💻 The EO Browser has been established as a prominent tool for educational purposes, exploration, and gaining knowledge about our planet by utilizing EO data.
👩🏾💻 As usual in the summer, Sentinel Hub brings exciting updates and improvements on the EO Browser to our EO community. Check it out:
1. Multi-Language Support
Two new members have been welcomed into our language family: Portuguese and Ukrainian! This expansion allows users to explore satellite data in 14 languages.
If your native language is not currently supported and you wish to contribute, you can follow the provided link to discover more about how you can participate and assist us in spreading awareness of EO Browser to a wider audience.
2. New Datasets: Harmonized Landsat Sentinel, Expanded Copernicus Services Collections
🗺️ Harmonized Landsat Sentinel
This impressive collection offers a 30-meter resolution and is continually updated every 2-3 days since April 2013., making it an ideal resource for monitoring changes in vegetation, land use, and land cover over an extended period of time.
🗺️ 10m Annual Land Use Land Cover Map
Derived from Sentinel-2 imagery, provides global coverage at a high resolution of 10 meters. This comprehensive map displays 9 Land Use Land Cover classes, spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.
3. Third Party Data Import
In case you are unaware, EO Browser allows you to effortlessly search, order, and visualize commercial high-resolution data directly within the platform. This convenient feature enables seamless access to a wide range of commercial high-resolution data for your specific needs.
These are some updates regarding commercial data ordering:
The ability to image an area of interest up to 10 times per day
0.5–0.9 m pixel size (resampled to 0.5 m)
Blue, Green, Red, Near Infrared, and Panchromatic bands
Building upon the success of the 2D Timelapse feature introduced last year, this year's advancement takes it a step further by introducing the Timelapse in 3D. Users now have the ability to generate captivating timelapses that incorporate depth and dimension, providing a fresh perspective on the dynamic nature of our planet.
…and much more:
